Since the race’s inception in 2004 numerous teams and fans from Eastern North America have come to Eagle Lake, Maine to answer the call of race season's first mid distance sled dog race!  Are you ready?

Held in the Middle of Northern Maine’s icy grip of winter, the Irving Eagle Lake 100 offers serious challenges to sled dog teams and excitement to sledding enthusiasts!  The Saint John Valley and the Town of Eagle Lake welcome you to one of the few areas in the world where extended sled dog races are possible.  This web site is intended for you to learn about one of the fastest growing winter sports on the planet and the Eagle Lake 100 Sled Dog Race in particular.  Here you will find information on how to arrive safely in Eagle Lake, lodge and dine in the vicinity, learn about the race's history, sign up for the race and most importantly-enjoy the weekend's events.

Mission

It is the Eagle Lake 100 Race Committee’s Mission to provide an early season middle distance race that is safe for both dog and driver and of professional caliper.  It is our intent that experienced drivers will find the race challenging and competitive and novice drivers will gain the experience of an extended race that includes a checkpoint and layover. It is also our mission to promote the St. John Valley as an adventure tourism and scenic destination.
